Gurney Rules and Suggestions

We provide pillows and blankets; guests must bring their own sheets and towels. Bed sizes are as follows

The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, toaster and small microwave oven. Dishes, flatware and cooking pots and utensils are included.

There is a compact clothes washer and dryer. Please use phosphate free detergent.

Our water comes directly from the lake, some guests choose to drink their own bottled water.

We do supply firewood, and you are welcome to any dead trees and limbs on the property for kindling.

Life Jackets and Cushions are hung in the cabins. There must be one life jacket for each person in the boat or canoe. Please keep them as dry as possible.

Please be sure the aluminum boat is well tied up and securely tied at all times. The canoe should be lifted ashore after each use. Rain and windstorms come up very suddenly on the Lake.

Persons 16 and over must have fishing licenses.

No bonfires or open fires of any kind are allowed anywhere on the lake.

Please leave the cabin in the condition you would hope to find it.

Please do not smoke in the cabin. Cigarettes smoked outside must be disposed of properly.

There is parking available for up to four cars, additional cars must be parked out at the Public Landing. Cars can not be parked on Gurney-Brown Lane - they block adequate access to the other cabins.

"Check-in" time is 2:00pm. "Check-out Time" is 10:00 am.

Pets: No cats please. Properly dispose of all pet waste.
